Thirteen people have been injured and at least two have been left in a "serious" condition, after a coach carrying Welsh teenagers crashed in north-east France.
The bus was said to be heading to Italy when it crashed on its side on a motorway near Lons-le-Saunier, towards the Swiss border.
It is believed that 48 people were travelling on the bus, with the majority of the passengers aged between 14 and 17.
Two helicopters a French fire services were dispatched to the scene.
While initial reports suggested that a number of those involved were in a critical condition, police officials told Reuters news agency that the lives of the badly injured teenagers were not in danger.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are providing support to a group of British nationals following a coach crash in France. We are in contact with the relevant local authorities."
