13 displaced in Chinatown apartment fire

Thirteen people were left homeless Wednesday after a fire at an apartment building in Chinatown.

The fire started about 11:25 p.m. on the rear porch of an apartment building in the 200 block of West 22nd Place, Chicago police said. An electrical malfunction is believed to have sparked the blaze.

No one was injured in the fire, police said.
