12 Edinburgh neighbourhoods with less than three Covid cases as rates drop in the capital

Edinburgh was once one of the top hotspots for coronavirus cases in the country, sitting at way above the threshold for level four restrictions.

But now, with zero deaths reported in the capital this week, and cases lowering by the day, many neighbourhoods are seeing the virus begin to relax its grip on the city.

In total, 73.3% of the entire Scottish population has had their first dose, and 57.5% have had both doses. In the past 7 days alone, 2.4% of Scotland has received a dose of the vaccine.

The neighbourhoods confirmed as having less than three positive cases are: Broughton North and Powderhall, Bruntsfield, Costorphine South, Craigleith, Orchard Brae and Crewe Toll, Cramond, Easter Road and Hawkhill Avenue, Marchmont East and Sciennes, Morningside, Murrayfield and Ravelston, New Town East and Gayfield, Ratho, Ingilston and Gogar, and Prestonfield.

Only two Edinburgh neighbourhoods are in the 400+ region per 100,000 of the population, Craigmillar, and Moredun and Craigour.

Below is a list of neighbourhoods reporting less than 10 cases over the last week, meaning they are most likely going to end up in the Covid-free zone by the end of August.
