A passenger van rammed into the rear of a lorry in Si Maha Phot district of Prachin Buri early yesterday, wounding 12 Cambodian migrant workers and the driver.
The accident occurred about 5.30am at an intersection near Ban Krok Sombun on Highway 359 (Phanom Sarakham-Sa Kaeo).
The van was heading for Sa Kaeo with 12 Cambodian workers on board, police said. The workers were believed to be heading for Aranyaprathet district on the border with Cambodia to get their visas extended.
At the intersection, the van rammed into the rear of a lorry and the 12 Cambodians and Jakkrit Ketphet, 33, the Thai driver, were injured. They were admitted to Si Maha Pho Hospital for treatment.
