€114k worth of drugs discovered in Meath raid

A man in his 50's has been arrested after gardai nabbed €114,000 worth of cannabis in a Co Meath house.

Gardai searched the house located in Navan last Friday, October 8.

The man was arrested this morning in connection to the seizure and is currently being held at Trim Garda Station.

The cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €114,000 was seized along with drug paraphernalia.

The search was part of Operation Tara and gardaí attached to the Meath Divisional Drugs Unit executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977.

A garda spokesperson said: "The drugs seized will now be sent for further analysis. Investigations ongoing."
