11 year old has IQ score higher than Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking

An 11 year old British boy, Yusuf Shah has a higher IQ than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. In a Mensa test, the child prodigy scored 162 which is higher than the IQs of Einstein and Hawking which was around 160.

Yusuf is currently a year 6 student at Wigton Moor Primary School. "Everyone at school thinks I am very smart and I have always wanted to know if I was in the top two per cent of the people who take the test," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Elated family celebrated with a hearty meal

“I was so proud. He is the first person to take the MENSA test in the family. I was actually a little concerned too – he has always gone into a hall full of kids to take tests. We thought he might be intimidated by the adults [at the centre]. But he did brilliantly," Yusuf's mother told the media outlet.

The family celebrated the success with a delicious meal.

Yusuf recalls that during a portion of the test he was asked to attempt 15 questions in three minutes, which he assumed as 13 minutes. But despite that he emerged among the top 1 percent.

"It feels special to have a certificate for me and about me. I also never thought I would be on the news," the 11 year old told the media.

Aiming to study mathematics at Cambridge or Oxford, Yusuf has found “Yusuf’s Square Rule”, a self-named mathematical rule.

He loves solving rubik cubes and practices sudoku. He loves engaging in activities that stimulate his brain.

At the age of 11, Yusuf is already an inspiration for his younger brother Khalid who is also planning to take the MENSA test.

The high IQ society

Just like Yusuf, Bristol’s Burnaby Swinburne had beat Einstein's IQ with a Mensa IQ score of 162. He scored among the top 1% and the top 4% of the world population respectively on the two tests.

In 2017, Dhruv Garg, a 13-year-old Indian-origin boy in the UK, scored 162 in his entry IQ test - the maximum possible, which places him in the top one percent of people in the world, the Daily Mirror reported.

Kevin Sweeney, an 11 year old from Britain, had secured an IQ score of 162 in August 2022. "The child, who is also Autistic, has always been bright according to his father. His parents also said that his biggest passion is music as he sings and plays a number of instruments," The Economic Times reported.

1998 born Jacob Barnett's name can not be missed when the discussion is around kids with higher IQs. He was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2.

American magazine columnist Marilyn Vos Savant has an IQ of 228, the highest ever recorded. She scored the highest IQ scores when she was 10 years old.
