Could Damian Lillard actually wave goodbye to the Portland Trail Blazers?
Per a report, it feels like it’s heading in that direction.
Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes wrote on Sunday that “the enormous backlash from the Portland Trail Blazers’ process to hire a new coach and his concerns on whether a championship contender can be built have become factors that may push the franchise player — Damian Lillard — out the door.”
That “backlash” refers to the hiring of Chauncey Billups, with fans flooding Lillard’s mentions due to, as the AP wrote, “allegations that [Billups] was involved in a sexual assault in 1997. No criminal charges were ever filed.”
