11 Nostalgic sweet treats that need to make a comeback

Do you ever walk into your local corner shop and just think "Jaysus, some Calippo shots would hit the spot now".

Us Irish, especially those who grew up in the 80s, 90s and 2000s, had some pretty damn tasty options when it came to sweets in the shop. From ice pops to chocolate bars we've almost forgotten about, there is a rake of stuff we would love to see back on the shelves.

Here are 11 sweet treats we simply need to make a comeback.

Mars Delights

These were nothing short of next level. Last year, Dublin comedian Darren Conway even went as far as to start a petition to bring these bad boys back.

Calippo Shots

Can you imagine these for a hangover? You're flaked on the couched and you barely even have to try with these. Literally just dump them in your mouth like the mess that you are.

Dream Bars

Dream Bars were the creamy white chocolate creation from Cadbury's that we sorely miss. Jaysus, they'd go down a treat this Christmas.

Apple Jacks

Made by the same company that created Black Jacks and Fruit Salad sweets, Apple Jacks were once a highly sought-after sweet for kiddos in the city.

Cadbury’s Snowflake

A flake, but make it snowy. We want it back and we want it back now.

White Maltesers

Maltesers and white chocolate - the mix we want and the mix we deserve.

Cadet Cola

It's giving the vibes of your primary school friend's birthday party.

Galaxy Truffles

Smart people know this was the superior sweet in the box of Celebrations. Unfortunately in 2011, they were no more.

Fat Frog Ice Pops

Our childhood summers were more or less defined by these.

Woppa Bars

To go with cola or spearmint? The decision used to make us sweat but we'd give anything to have it back.

Cadbury Snaps

Like Pringles, but chocolate. Today's kids simply wouldn't understand.
