AT LEAST 11 Palestinian’s have been killed, including children, after a bakery in Gaza City was hit by an Israeli airstrike on Saturday, medical sources have said.
Dozens more were reportedly wounded by an airstrike by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Ansar neighborhood, in the west of the city, while they waited in line for loaves of bread.
At least 66 people have been killed and 345 wounded by Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours, including 15 who were seeking humanitarian aid, the Gaza Health Ministry said on Saturday.
Among those killed over the 24-hour period was a young girl when a building that had previously served as a school was targeted by the IDF, which wounded several other children, according to the news outlet Haaretz.
One other person was killed in an airstrike on another building that once functioned as a school.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said that 10 people, including three children, died of hunger in the past 24 hours, raising the death toll of people in the Gaza Strip who have died of starvation since the start of the war to 332, including 124 children.
More than 63,000 Palestinians have died since October 7, 2023, with Israel killing 11,240 since the cease-fire ended on March 18, the Health Ministry said.
