11 hot Dublin sportsmen who'll get your pulse racing faster than a speeding ball

From GAA to rugby to soccer, Dublin has produced more than its fair share of sporting legends.

But even if sport isn't your thing -  that's no reason not to enjoy the spectacle.

The beauty of the game is one thing, but we can't help noticing that many of the chaps who play it are are pretty easy on the eye as well.

Diarmuid Connolly must make the choice to come back to Dublin, says Jim Gavin

Here's our list of the 11 hottest men in Dublin sport right now:

Diarmuid Connolly - Dublin Footballer

It remains to be seen whether he'll return to Dublin's championship panel this summer.

But one thing is in no doubt - the square jawed full-forward looks as good as he plays.

Daniel Mandroiu - Bohemians Soccer Player

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has made quite an impression on the pitch since joining Bohs during the winter transfer window.

Oh, and he's been playing really well too, scoring a memorable first League of Ireland goal against UCD in February.

Rob Kearney - Leinster/Ireland rugby player

At 33, he's one of the grand old men of the Irish rugby team - but we think its fair to say that Rob Kearney gets better with age.

The fullback's IRFU contract is due to expire at the end of the 2019 Rugby World Cup - but we reckon he'll have no problem getting modelling work if he's stuck.

Alan Nolan - Dublin Hurler

Mechanical lifter by day, Dublin hurling goalkeeper by night, it's no wonder Alan Nolan looks fit as a fiddle.

He also hurls for St. Brigid's and plays soccer with his local side Corduff FC.

Eric Lowndes - Dublin Footballer

He may frequently get mistaken for Diarmuid Connolly on the pitch, but we reckon Eric has plenty of charms in his own right.

However, the Blanchardstown teacher is happy to admit there's 'a bit of a resemblance there!'

George Dockrell - Ireland Cricket Player

He might be feeling disappointed after England's win over Ireland yesterday, but the 26-year-old bowler has plenty to be cheerful about.

The handsome, Gonzaga college-educated sportsman has a promising career and no shortage of female fans.

Johnny Sexton - Ireland/Leinster Rugby Player

The Leinster captain and fly-half has been getting pulses racing on the pitch since his debut for Ireland in 2009.

The amazing tries he has converted under immense pressure have drive some to distraction, while his cool demeanour has set others' hearts a flutter for different reasons.

Lee Cole - Ireland Hockey Player

The 6ft defender stands out on the pitch - and not just because of his talent.

Those baby blue eyes and blond hair definitely give him an unfair advantage when it comes to attracting the attention of lady spectators.

Bernard Brogan - Dublin Footballer

The pin-up of Dublin football really needs no introduction - so just enjoy this photo of him modelling a lovely tracksuit.

Bernard Brogan shares adorable snap with twin boys at their christening alongside wife Keira Doyle

Danny Sutcliffe - Dublin Hurler

The 27-year-old forward is a multi-talented sportsman, having played for the Dublin minor football team in 2009 whom he won a Leinster title.

He's also tall, dark and extremely handsome. Some guys get all the luck!

Michael Fitzsimons - Dublin Footballer

The 30-year-old corner back balances a busy schedule playing with both the Dublin Senior team and Cuala in Dalkey with studying medicine in UCD.

Needless to say, he can give us a check-up any time.
