11 Dublin pubs that are perfect for an after work pint

The return to office work is on the horizon and for many, it has already become a reality.

Although working from home has its perks, so does meeting your colleagues every day, especially when the last minute 'pint?' question is thrown across the desk.

Many of us have actually never met some of our colleagues in person due to the pandemic. What better way to do that than over an alcoholic beverage or two?

On that note, here are 11 Dublin pubs that are great for an after-office drink.

Toner's

Perhaps the most beloved beer garden in the city centre, Toner's has solidified itself as a favourite for office workers parching for a pint after a long day or week. Chilling here, unwinding and ordering a pint of the black stuff is an experience that just hits differently, especially when you and the team have hit a milestone or got a project over the line.

Porterhouse

Having recently received a gorgeous facelift, this alley just off Grafton Street always has a great atmosphere on a Thursday and Friday, when the end-of-the-week tipples are pouring and the weekend draws closer.

Grogan's

This one doesn't need much explanation, really. Grogan's is the epitome of the comfort we find in Dublin pubs. If you manage to get a seat outside on a sunny day, the buzz is just class, with people finishing work and pouring into the pubs, bars and restaurants on South William Street. Of course, the toasties are a major draw as well.

Blackbird

Serving up a huge array of beers for all tastes, cheap pizza and board games in Rathmines, there is so much craic to be had here. Brought to us by the same crows as P'Mac's, you can expect the same quirky dive bar vibes.

Hyne's Bar

Paddy Lotsy's local Stoneybatter watering hole has reopened and with it, great bar food, cocktails, pints and a quirky tribute to the pintman. The indoor part of the pub very much reflects a traditional local whereas the beer garden is decorated with chic lights and artwork.

Hogan's

Grab yourself a bench, a pint and soak in the bustling atmosphere of Fade Street, one of the buzziest places in the city centre. If you don't manage to get a seat, fear not, because there are other great bars surrounding it such as the Bar With No Name and Fade Street Social.

Bernard Shaw

Pints and an array of great food choices from unreal vendors? Sign us all the way up. You'll find the Bernard Shaw by the canal in Phibsborough along with Eatyard, featuring great pizza, burgers and even vegan options. It really is a great choice for anyone who enjoys a simple pint to compliment some great food.

The Living Room

On match days, this place is absolutely hopping, but it's an excellent choice regardless of whether sport is on or not. The beer garden out the back is perfectly hidden away from the hustle and bustle. From here, you can order great food and pints. When the tunes start playing, you may find yourself here later than you intended.

Woolshed

You'll find this one on Parnell Street beside Cineworld, serving the standard bar food we all know and love (wings, burgers, fries and all the good stuff), as well as draught beers and cocktails.

Urban Brewing

Ideal for anyone who works in the IFSC, Urban Brewing aims to please lovers of beer and food alike with a series of stunning menus. If you're in the market for it, the tapas here are ace.

Anti Social

Anti Social opened just weeks before lockdown first hit but it didn't take this hip bar in The Liberties long to gain popularity (especially because of their unbelievable cocktail towers). Now that many of us are soon to return to the office, we're buzzing to pop in here for a post work pint or cocktail, as well as great tunes.
