£100m boost for Yorkshire paper's transport campaign

A campaign launched by the Yorkshire Post to improve the region's transport infrastructure has witnessed its first success. The government has agreed to invest about £100m to build up to 90 new railway carriages for routes around Leeds, with a further handful going on lines around Sheffield and more on the TransPennine Express route across Yorkshire.
