1000-lb Sisters star Amy Slaton 'nervous' at the thought of 'a life without my sister'

Tammy Slaton has now reached her weight loss goal and been approved for surgery, with her sister Amy Slaton admitting she is "nervous" about Tammy going under the knife.

Tammy was checked into a food rehabilitation centre after struggling with her weight for years, but has since found out she has lost more than 180lb (12.9 stone).

After completing her rehab programme, Tammy is now preparing for bariatric surgery, but Amy said she was fearful that "anything could happen".

In a teaser clip for the upcoming episode of 1000-lb Sisters, Amy told the cameras: "I am nervous for Tammy. Anything could happen during surgery. I couldn't picture a life without my sister."

In the clip, which has been obtained by People, Tammy was greeted by her loved ones who had gathered outside the weight loss facility to celebrate her achievement.

Her family had brought celebratory posters and confetti. They also hung up a banner which read: "Go Queen Tammy! You did the damn thing!"

Tammy said the sweet gesture almost made her cry.

She told the cameras: "They had a poster for me to read that everybody wrote a little something on there to celebrate me.

"I mean, b*****s this is about me at the end of the day because I'm queen."

Before going to her surgery, Tammy also got to meet her nephew Glenn for the first time. Her sister Amy gave birth to Glenn in July last year.

She also shares two-year-old Gage with her husband Michael Halterman.

Speaking about meeting Glenn, Tammy said: "Finally get to hold the little bear. That's what keeps me going.

"When I get home, I'm babysitting both Gage and Glenn. They're gonna be Auntie's boys."

Tammy also explained that she was only able to reach her weight loss goals with the support of her loving family.

"I really do appreciate everybody coming. I needed them. I needed to know that they love me no matter what," she said before breaking down in tears.

She added: "I needed to know that they're here for me. They love me. That's one of the biggest things to help push me through to get to where I am now."
