The captain of Hanasaki Tokuharu High School's baseball team carries the flag of the National High School Baseball Championship on Sunday during the opening ceremony of the 100th championship at Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. The ceremony was attended by Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako, and saw a record 56 schools march into the stadium. Hanasaki Tokuharu, located in Saitama Prefecture, won the championship last year.
