Choosing the name of a new baby can cause a bit of tension between parents and one site has deemed a selection of names that they would avoid.

Each year we can see the names proving to be the most popular as they get added to the data from the name registration is collected, with some parents deeming them as the 'best', with current books and films proving to influence. However, the 'worst' names don't often get the same spotlight.

As the Mirror reports, one parenting site has taken it upon themselves to make their own list of unfavourable names as the team over at Emma's Diary, shared their thoughts on the top 100 'worst' baby names of all time - and the list will likely prove rather controversial.

As previously reported, it was only intended to be a bit of fun and not meant to cause any offence. It features a number of names associated with products, like Maybelline, the makeup brand, and food and drink, such as Flora and Chardonnay. Some listed seemed reasonable names but it was the unusual spelling that landed them on list.

Other names included in the list are associated with songs (Alice, Alice, who the f*** is Alice), while others, like Boris, are associated with high profile people and need no further explanation.
