Every day is a great day to celebrate amazing and inspirational women, but International Women’s Day gives us an extra reason to do just that.
Monday March 8 is a global celebration to recognise women’s achievements, raise awareness of inequality and increase visibility for women.
To mark the occasion, we have pulled together 100 uplifting, powerful and inspirational stories of women across the UK and Ireland, from writers across our network at Reach Plc.
The 100 Women Project includes stories of NHS doctors and nurses on the frontline of Covid-19; mums fighting for their children and others to get the best start in life; and women smashing beauty stereotypes.
There are also businesswomen, sportswomen, community leaders, cancer survivors, activists, campaigners, social media stars and a foster carer who has been mum to more than 300 children.
