100 cannabis plants found at house in Bulwell after report of man being held against his will

Around 100 cannabis plants were discovered at a house in Bulwell.

Nottinghamshire Police police officers forced entry to a house Aston Drive in Bulwell on Monday, July 6, following a report that a man was being held against his will and forced to tend to cannabis plants.

Around 100 plants were found over two floors, but when the property was searched there was no one there.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow said: "Clearly we’re very concerned with the report that someone may have been held against their will in connection with these cannabis plants.

"Our investigation into this is well underway and we are conducting door to door enquiries to find out as much as we can about what was happening here.

"However, I would encourage anyone who knows anything to come forward and help us ensure the safety and welfare of anyone who may have been involved and catch those responsible."

Anyone with any information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 786 of 6 July 2020.
