10 ultimate style icons spotted on Ladies Day at the Grand National

Each year, women arrive at Aintree racecourse on Ladies Day dressed to the nines and with the hope of winning the coveted Style Award.

From polka dots to block colour and enormous headdresses , the ladies of Liverpool did it again this year, making fashion statements as they arrived for a fun-filled day of racing.

This year, the Style Award judges crowned Sue Moon from Chorley as the best dressed racegoer on Ladies Day. But there were many others who stood out from the crowd, in truly show-stopping outfits.

Our reporters spent the day on the course, and crowned these 10 women, the ultimate style icons of Ladies Day 2019.
