TikTok can be a treasure trove of cute and hilarious dog videos – but for owners of pet "influencers" it can also be a way to make a living.

The video-sharing platform grew in popularity through the coronavirus pandemic and it now has almost 690 million active users worldwide, including many notable dog accounts.

In fact, the hashtag #dogsoftiktok has 63.9 billion views and #petsoftiktok has 21.5 billion, reports TeamDogs.

From puppies that can do tricks to canine makeovers, here's a rundown compiled by Write from the Heart of the top 10 TikTok dogs that are raking in the sponsorship cash – including one account that can make more than £7,000 per post.

10) @fairytrails.ig

This Tik Tok account features Sammy, Yuna and foster friends including Pepito, who only has two legs.

Although the lowest paid of this bunch, they can still rake in a pretty impressive income, earning up to £692.92 per post.

Sammy and Yuna have one million followers and 15.2 million likes.

The pair seem to be the best of friends.

9) @beingbirch

Featuring Border Collie mix Birch, Alaskan Husky Bambi and mini American Shepherd Bliss, @beingbirch have amassed 1.3 million followers and 23.1 million likes.

The trio love to give each other hugs and can earn up to £937.39 per post for doing so.

8) @littlemissfurious

Grumpy-looking Maddy has become known for her unique expression on TikTok, dubbed @littlemissfurious.

Her owner plays on her looks with videos seemingly making fun of Maddy’s angry face.

She has 1.6 million followers and 23.3 million likes earning her up to £1,082.43 per post.

Fans can even book her to star in a personalised video via Cameo.

7) @boomer_the_landcloud

A dog that has its own YouTube channel, Boomer has acquired a huge following with 1.8 million followers and 29.8 million likes.

His popularity means he can earn up to £1,300.09 per post.

6) @arrowtotherescue

Rescue dog @arrowtotherescue has gained 2.3 million followers on TikTok, and is instantly recognisable by his heterochromia – or eyes of different colours.

5) @girlwithedogs

This account is owned and operated by dog groomer Vanessa based in Canada.

Three million followers and 93.2 million likes means @girlwithedogs can get up to £1,875.40 per post.

4) @dog_and_his_boomer

The star of @dog_and_his_boomer, Nala, is a seizure alert service dog.

The account shows off some of Nala’s tricks, viral dog challenges and her antics with her owner.

With 4.1 million followers and 74.7 million likes, Nala can earn up to £2,884.68 per post.

3) @minging888

This cute pooch can often be seen wearing some absolutely beautiful outfits, apparently always chosen by himself.

Currently, @minging888 boasts five million followers and 41.7 million likes, meaning his owners can earn up to £3,593.27 per post.

2) @whataboutbunny

A dog that has more likes than Miley Cyrus, @whataboutbunny communicates using augmentative and alternative communication devices.

Bunny's owner, Alexis Devine, is trying to teach her how to speak for her 6.6 million followers.

With 140.2 million likes, Bunny can rake in up to £4,543.71.

The top dogs of this bunch are @azchpn, featuring toy poodle Panna and Chihuahuas Azuki and Chocola.

The trio also have a YouTube account and can rake in up to £7,113.89 per post.
