Miyu Yamashita made a big impression in the early part of her professional career, with a glittering record on the LPGA Tour of Japan before earning her LPGA Tour card in style.

1. Miyu Yamashita was born on August 2nd 2001 in Osaka, Japan.

2. She started playing the game when she was five.

3. She turned professional in 2020 at the age of 19.

4. After joining the LPGA Tour of Japan, she captured her first victory a year later at the 2021 KKT Cup Vantelin Ladies Open.

5. Although she didn't win any more tournaments for the rest of the year, Yamashita made up for it in 2022, claiming five JLPGA wins.

6. In the first round of the 2022 Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open Golf Tournament, she became the first player to shoot 60 on the LPGA Tour of Japan.

7. Her first Major appearance came at the 2022 AIG Women's Open at Muirfield, where she finished in solo 13th.

8. After an incredible 2022, Yamashita followed it up with an equally impressive 2023, as she claimed five more JLPGA Tour wins, including defending her Japan LPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup title.

9. She won Player of the Year honors on the circuit in 2022 and 2023.

10. She was also its leading money winner in each year.

11. Her best placing at a Major is T2 at the 2024 KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

12. She represented Japan at the 2024 Olympics at Le Golf National, where she finished tied for fourth.

13. By the end of 2024, she had amassed 13 LPGA of Japan Tour wins.

14. Less than a month after the last of those victories, the Daio Paper Elleair Ladies Open, she earned her LPGA Tour card after winning Q-Series.
