You might not have heard of it, but there’s a phone game that is in danger of becoming a global phenomenon. We asked our readers around the world to share their Pokémon Go related adventures - below are ten locations our readers have found themselves hunting imaginary monsters.

1) Amid the geysers of Iceland

I was interested to see what Pokemon would be lurking around the geysers and hot springs of the Geysir area in Iceland. Surprisingly I saw a rhino pokemon who looked rather steamed up.

2) Taking over Chicago

During a visit to Chicago I went down to the Bean (Cloudgate) and these guys turned up. I just had to take their photo, turns out they were leaders of what originally was meant to be a small meet up of 11 friends on a Facebook group, turned out to be a meeting of 11,000 Pokemon players later that day.

3) Making Torquay interesting

Get that Pikachu ASAP! LOL

4) Recreating Indiana Jones and the temple of Pokémon

I found this pokémon while I was visiting the famous Luxor temple in my home country Egypt. This took place yesterday July 25th in Luxor and the temple was filled with many other pokémons and gems but I only captured the picture of this Slowpoke with he pillars of the temple appearing in the background.

5) Up in the mountains of Montenegro

A week ago I opened Pokemon Go at the top of Mt Lovćen in Montenegro, one of the country's highest mountains. I found Bellsprout!

6) While running around London

It's a fairly sunny day in London today, so we opted to go for a run around Hampstead Heath. After a half-joke about the fact that we each had eggs in incubators on Pokemon Go, we quickly decided to go running with the app open. Needless to say we hatched a few eggs and ran a good few kilometers! This is a photo of myself and two colleagues from www.mvfglobal.com.

7) Using them for childcare

8) On the bus

I don't play the game myself, but I've been fascinated by so many people enjoying it. It's a rare game that gets the populous exploring their home city/town and interacting with the people in it. I spotted this couple hunting for Pokemon on the bus on the way home from work. She was able to catch an Eevee, which looks like an incredibly fluffy fox with the beard of santa claus.

9) In the parks of San Diego

My friend Stephanie and I have spent half of our holiday in Western America being attacked by Pokemon.

10) On their lunchbreak

Loads of office workers out catching pokemons on their lunchbreak (just a fraction of how many are about, too)
