10 people who died alone in January as police work to find their families

An urgent search is underway to trace the families of 10 people who died alone in Merseyside in January.

Merseyside Police has released the names of people who have died, on behalf of coroner's officers, but searches to find their next of kin have so far drawn a blank.

Today the ECHO lists the names of people who have died in Merseyside and who police recently issued a plea to trace family members so they can attend their funerals.

In some cases people are buried or cremated without the presence of relatives in what is known as a public health funeral organised by the local authority.

None of the deaths are being treated as suspicious but it's important to try and find any relatives who may be unaware they have died.

Anthony Beckford

Anthony Beckford, 52, sadly died at his home address in Oriel Rd, Bootle, on January 12, 2022.

His death is not being treated as suspicious. It is believed Mr Beckford was originally from the London area and may still have family residing there.

Allan Larmont

Allan Larmont, 77, died at his home address on Princes Street, Southport on November 19, 2021. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Further enquiries suggest Mr Larmont may otherwise have been known as Allan Muir in life, and that Larmont may have been his mother’s maiden name.

Gareth Lovell

Gareth Lovell, 63 years, sadly died at Brook View Care Home on Longmoor Lane, Aintree on January 11.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Anyone who knows the next-of-kin of Mr Lovell is asked to contact Sefton Coroner’s Office on 0151 934 2399 or email coronerreferrals@sefton.gov.uk with any information.

David Owens

David Owens sadly died at his home in Eastway, aged 68, on December 28, 2021.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and despite extensive enquiries we have not been able to make contact with his next of kin.

Raymond Moran

Raymond Moran, 80, was sadly found dead at St Johns Court in Waterloo, on Boxing Day last year.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and despite extensive enquiries next of kin have not been identified.

Thomas Stevens

Thomas Stevens, 74, was sadly found dead at his home in College Rd, Crosby, on December 13.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and despite extensive enquiries next of kin have not been identified.

Richard McNally

Richard McNally, 58, of Sybil Road, Anfield, sadly died in Liverpool on Monday, December 20 2021. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Macdonald Price

Macdonald Price, 89, found dead at his home on Berwick Street, Old Swan, on Saturday 18th December 2021.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Henry Morgan

Henry Morgan, 85, sadly died on Friday, November 24, in Athol Street in Vauxhall.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Simon Dyson

Simon Dyson, 58, died at his home on Arrowe Park Road in Birkenhead on December 11.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
