10 people test positive for novel coronavirus in Tokyo

Ten people tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Tokyo on Tuesday, according to sources.

The figure was also in double digits on Sunday, when there were 14 newly confirmed cases. Eight people tested positive on Monday.

The number of newly confirmed cases per day has remained below 20 for 12 consecutive days, dating back to May 15.

The total number of infected people in the capital has reached 5,170.
