10 people rescued after California mudslide smothers houses and cars

A significant mudslide has swept through several Californian neighbourhoods, burying houses and cars following heavy rainfall.
The incident occurred on Friday, 19 September 2025, affecting mountain communities including Forest Falls, Oak Glen, and Potato Canyon in San Bernardino County.
Authorities confirmed no injuries or missing persons, successfully rescuing 10 individuals from at least six vehicles.
Officials have not yet been able to confirm the exact number of homes affected or the full extent of the damage.
