A list of the most festive baby names has been revealed.
Choosing a baby name isn’t an easy decision with some parents struggling to decide on the perfect choice for their bundle of joy, even after they’ve arrived. If you’re expecting a baby at this time of year, you might be tempted to go for something inspired by the festive season.
While there are plenty of choices, including Holly, Ivy and Noel, the most popular in the world are somewhat more traditional, according to Absolute Digital Media. The team used data to discover the most popular festive baby names across the globe.
The research was collected in November 2022 and the most popular name that came out on top was Maria, which means "drop of the sea, bitter, or beloved". The second most popular was David, which is of Hebrew origin and means ‘beloved’.

In third place was Michael, which also has a Hebrew origin meaning ‘who is God?’. These are 10 of the most popular festive-inspired baby names around the world:
