Start off at Norma’s Deli in Manly, because you can’t go on a road trip with an empty belly. You’ll truly feel like you’ve been looked after by a Yiayia, as they stuff you full of the best Greek food in Sydney. You’ll be sustained with its famous Spanakopita and Pastitsio, and while you’re there, you might as well try their dessert.
MY fave is the passionfruit Mascarpone cake and Basque cheesecake, but they have so many sweet treats you’ll be spoiled for choice. Hot tip? Order it catering-style so you’ve got plenty on the road. Trust me, you’re going to need your energy for what’s next.

2. Sand Dune Adventures
Around three hours later (enough time for your food to settle), you’ll hit Sand Dune Adventures, a quad biking experience in Port Stephens. Make sure to book this one in advance, as you don’t want to miss out.
I’d recommend choosing the 1.5-hour version, so you get to experience Aboriginal culture, quad biking, and sandboarding. Score. Make sure you’re safe by following the safety instructions and briefing before you adventure on the dunes.** You’ll be exhausted at the end, so we picked somewhere nearby next (don’t worry).

3. Nelson Bay Health Foods
Your final stop for the day is at Nelson Bay Health Foods, half an hour away from Port Stephens. Renowned for its natural approach to life, you’ll feel like a local browsing the products. The environmentally friendly items are a must (for obvious reasons), and they also have organic food and products for you to try.
It’s a stunning place to stop for the night. Hello, ocean views. Don’t say I don’t look after you.

4. Piece of Mind Wholefoods
This will be the second day of your trip, so you’re going to need some good fuel in your body. Drive two and a half hours and you’ll hit Piece of Mind Wholefoods. It has all the organic food and drink you could dream of. The food and milk are locally sourced — so you can feel good knowing you’re supporting the community.
Nestled in the heart of North Haven, take the morning to stroll along the breathtaking Grants Beach and Laurieton Lakefront. If you have time, you’ve got to explore the Nature Reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for the 200 species of animals (and yes, that includes koalas).

5. Coastal Harvest
You deserve a bite to eat after all that walking in the morning. Located around two hours away from Piece of Mind Wholefoods, you won’t have to drive far to experience this burger bar.
Word of warning, don’t stalk Coastal Harvest’s Insta unless you’re prepared to feel hungry. From the meat to the burger buns, the produce is sourced locally — taking you on a culinary experience around the North Coast. Don’t worry about the food coma afterwards, either, as you’ll be staying the night in the picturesque river town of Bellingen.

6. The Nook, Sandbar & The Surf Yamba
You’ve driven for a while by this point, so here’s a day at one place for you to truly relax. You just have to drive two hours to Yamba, and then you’re free, I swear. Pick up a second-hand book at The Nook so you can read it while enjoying the seafood at Sandbar.
After lunch, you can check in at the beachside hotel, The Surf Yamba, which is just a stroll away. We won’t judge if you go back for seconds at Sandbar for dinner.

7. Tropical Fruit World
Your next stop is at Tropical Fruit World, two hours from Yamba by car. When I say this has the best fruit in the world, I’m not kidding. Not only do you get to enjoy the local produce, but you also get to stroll through the picturesque farm.
If you’re eager for your next shopping trip, yes, there are gifts to buy (and even plants)! Who needs a pet on the road when you can get a plant? Just make sure to keep it in sunlight.

Next up? Cabarita Beach. When I say this place looks like it’s been made by AI, I’m not kidding. The ocean is a perfect blue-green colour that you daydream about at work. What better way to enjoy the view than by staying at the beachside Halcyon House?

9. Choux Box Cafe
Morning, let’s get you some grub. Don’t worry, Choux Box Cafe is located just 13 minutes away. The café has been run by locals since 1993, so you’ll be in good hands here.
The chef is well known for their Nasi Goreng and smoked salmon omelette, but if you’re looking for the classics, then eggs Benedict and waffles are the way to go.
There’s a three-hour drive ahead of you, so I’d pick up some takeaway sweet treats (you can even get a whole cake if you’re feeling wild).

10. Depot Noosa
Congrats, you’ve officially made it to Noosa! While the views are a highlight, you’ve got to check out Depot Noosa. Why? The team serves an all-day brunch AND coffee until 5:30pm (!!). So you can pop back here as often as you want while you’re exploring the coastal town.
Get your sea legs as you paddleboard around Noosa Main Beach. Who knows, you might even spot a dolphin or a whale if you time it right. You can get a better viewpoint from Noosa National Park.
If you’re more of a shopper, then Hastings Street, Eumundi and Noosa Farmers Market are a must. Finish the day with a swim at the Fairy Pools; it truly is magical.
Start the next day with yoga on the beach for $30 a person, followed by taking in the views at Laguna Lookout and Mt. Tinbeerwah in Tewantin National Park. Take a picnic to Noosa Botanic Garden and enjoy. There’s nothing worse than rushing out of there, so take the third day to truly soak up all that Noosa has to offer.
