The Cincinnati Bengals quietly have a big number of needs to hit in free agency and the draft this year.
That’s somewhat a product of being ahead of schedule as a contender. The team wasn’t supposed to make it to the Super Bowl this year, which only amplified some of the roster’s issues — like the offensive line.
But as an earlier-than-expected contender, the good news is the Bengals have plenty of resources to spend in order to keep upgrading the roster.
Pursuit of that goal starts in free agency, where some of the big-ticket items are retaining key players and going after some of the market’s biggest names in order to fix that offensive line.
