Brighton Marina has been named as the most Instagrammable place in the UK by Google.
New research from the tech giant, to celebrate the launch of the Google Pixel 3a phone, analysed 80,000 Instagram posts using popular hashtags, like #dayout and #landscape, to come up with a shortlist of the most photogenic backdrops in the UK.
It then asked 2,000 people to vote on their favourite spot, and Brighton’s marina took the crown.
Brighton’s famed pier also appeared in the list at number five, while Oxford University took the second spot and was followed by London’s Tower Bridge.
London landmarks the London Eye, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus also appeared in the list at fourth, sixth and tenth place respectively.
