10 EVs With the Best Range for 2025

Making the switch to an electric vehicle isn’t an easy decision if you’re coming from something that’s gas-fed. It comes down to two factors: range and access. A tank of fuel is likely to cover more distance than a fully charged battery. Even better, a gas station is never too far away to leave you stranded.

With 8,000 EV chargers ordered to be removed, range anxiety is very much alive in 2025. Fortunately, automakers have been hard at work on refining and improving their battery tech in order to eke out the most miles per charge.

In this list, we’ve assembled the 2025 and 2026 model-year vehicles that offer the most battery range, based on EPA estimates. With a focus on the model trim covering the furthest distance, any one of these EVs can ensure you get to where you need to be without burdening you with the task of frantically searching for a plug.

10. 2025 Tesla Model 3 Long Range: 363 Miles

  • 137 MPGe
  • Base Price: $44,130

Even though Tesla’s best-selling, mid-size sedan is starting to go long in the tooth, the Model 3 remains one of the best-selling EVs in the world thanks to its sleek styling, a multitude of high-tech features, and the company’s industry-best Supercharger network. The Long Range variant is good for 363 miles in rear-wheel-drive guise. Opting for all-wheel drive means range drops slightly to 346 miles, but that’s still an improvement of five miles compared to 2024.

9. 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 Plus: 390 Miles

  • 98 MPGe
  • Base Price: $105,550

Mercedes-Benz offers a complete range of battery electric vehicles alongside its gas lineup, from compact SUVs up to the opulent Maybach variety. However, Affalterbach’s range champ remains the EQS 450 Plus for 2025, which saw a 38-mile improvement to 390 miles.

8. 2025 GMC Sierra EV: 390 Miles

  • 64 MPGe
  • Base Price: $91,995

The GMC Sierra EV is a new player in the electric pickup truck segment. It rides on the same platform that supports the GMC Hummer EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV, both of which have been on sale for a few years already. With an EPA-verified range of 390 miles, the Sierra EV will outperform any Cybertruck. Opting for the Max Range battery pack extends the distance to 460 miles on a full charge. However, at the time of writing, the EPA has not rated this commodity.

7. Audi A6 Sportback E-Tron: 392 Miles

  • 126 MPGe
  • Base Price: $67,195

If the Audi E-Tron GT impresses on the track, the new A6 Sportback E-Tron wows with its range. The base rear-wheel-drive A6 gets up to 392 miles of range on a single charge, according to the EPA, while the all-wheel-drive Quattro model still gets a solid 377 miles of range. Even the Quattro model by itself would crack the top 10. While some electric sedans do have better range, the A6 Sportback E-Tron is the most affordable way to get nearly 400 miles, with a starting price of just $67,195.

6. 2025 Tesla Model S: 410 Miles

  • 124 MPGe
  • Base Price: $81,630

Like the Model 3, the Model S is also up there in age. Since going on sale in 2012, the Model S has received a slew of updates over time—some minor, some major—to keep it relevant in the marketplace. For 2025, it gets a slight bump in range from 402 to 410 miles in standard guise. Range drops to 348 miles for the uber-quick Plaid in exchange for epic acceleration.

5. 2025 Rivian R1S Dual Max: 410 Miles

  • 84 MPGe
  • Base Price: $89,900

Rivian’s mid-size SUV is unchanged for 2025. It’s still one of the most customizable EVs, offering a palette of power levels, colors, and options to gear you for the great outdoors. In terms of going further, the R1S Dual Max is your best bet with up to 410 miles of range. Due to its boxy silhouette and increased weight, the nearly identical pickup truck is a slightly better performer.

4. 2025 Rivian R1T Dual Max: 420 Miles

  • 87 MPGe
  • Base Price: $83,900

The R1T Dual Max has better range and is cheaper than its SUV sibling. It offers the same amount of customizable options without sacrificing range. Along with the Dual Max battery, you can opt for the Performance add-on, which bumps power up to 665 total horsepower and even more torque. With a useful bed and plenty of storage throughout, the R1T remains one of the most versatile electric vehicles you can buy.

3. 2025 Lucid Gravity Grand Touring: 450 Miles

  • 108 MPGe
  • Base Price: $96,550

The Lucid Gravity is only the company’s second vehicle after the Air, and it went on sale just last year. It’s a three-row crossover, which means it competes against the likes of the Kia EV9 and Rivian R1S. But the Gravity goes even further than either family SUV, thanks to the brand’s staple energy-efficient platform. The Grand Touring trim wearing 20-inch wheels is rated at 450 miles on a full charge.

2. 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV WT: 493 Miles

  • 68 MPGe
  • Base Price: $76,295

This is a bit of a dark horse. The Chevrolet Silverado EV Work Truck is an energy-efficient pickup capable of carrying loads even heavier than the Ultium battery stored beneath the floorboards. Opting for the Max Range battery pack bumps range from 424 miles to an impressive 493 miles.

1. 2025 Lucid Air Grand Touring: 512 Miles

  • 128 MPGe
  • Base Price: $112,400

Yes, the battery electric vehicle with the greatest range remains the Lucid Air Grand Touring. Making the most of its 118.0-kilowatt-hour battery pack, the Air will travel 512 miles on a single charge so long as it’s equipped with 19-inch wheels. The fact is, though, that any Lucid Air will cover more than 400 miles, regardless of battery or wheel size. For 2025, NACS support by way of an adapter means it can take advantage of Tesla Supercharger as well, which is still the most accessible charging network in the U.S. and overseas.

Update: The original version of this story did not include the 2026 Audi E-Tron, which comes in seventh place with 392 miles of EPA-estimated range. The story has been updated to reflect that.
