NSW Police have confirmed that 10 people have been killed, and 11 more have been injured, following a shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
On Sunday, two men were arrested following a shooting at Bondi Beach.
Since then, police have confirmed that ten people — including a man who’s believed to be one of the shooters — had been killed.
NSW Police Force also reported that a further 11 people have been injured, including two police officers.
The deadly incident was said to have taken place at Bondi’s Campbell Parade at about 6.45pm.
Per the Sydney Morning Herald, people in Bondi reportedly heard up to 50 gunshots as hundreds fled from the area.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese released a statement on the tragic incident, describing the scenes in Bondi as “shocking and distressing”.
“Police and emergency responders are on the ground working to save lives. My thoughts are with every person affected.
“I just have spoken to the AFP Commissioner and the NSW Premier,” Albanese said.
“We are working with NSW Police and will provide further updates as more information is confirmed.
“I urge people in the vicinity to follow information from the NSW Police.”
MP Allegra Spender shared an Instagram Post stating that NSW Police have confirmed “all active threats in Bondi have been neutralised”.

However, NSW Police have reported that “a number of suspicious items located in the vicinity are being examined by specialist officers and an exclusion zone is in place”.
“A multi-agency response is continuing,” NSW Police said.
“An extensive crime scene has been established and inquiries are now underway. There have been NO reports of any other incidents in Sydney connected to this incident.”
Information surrounding the nature or motive behind the shootings has not been shared. However, hundreds of people were attending Chanukkah by the Sea to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah when the shooting occurred.
NSW Police have also said the death toll is expected to change as operations continue.
