10 biggest kit deals in world football - how much YOUR club earns from endorsements

Liverpool are set to land a lucrative deal with Nike which will put them alongside some of the big hitters in world football.

The agreement, understood to be worth £70m a year, will see Liverpool seal the third biggest kit deal in the world, although current suppliers New Balance are reportedly ready to block the move.

Nike were all ready to confirm the deal this week but New Balance are not going down without a fight and are battling to keep their agreement by triggering a ‘matching clause.’

New Balance claim the clause allows them to match the offer from Nike but Liverpool haven’t given them the chance to do so.

The Merseysiders now face a High Court dispute with New Balance before any kit deal with Nike can be finalised.

Irrespective of which manufacturer graces the Liverpool kit next season, the Reds are guaranteed to come out of the deal looking rosier than ever.

The current offer on the table will have them sitting pretty in third on the sponsorship income list, but which team leads the way?

We take a look at the top 10 clubs cashing in…

1. Real Madrid

The £110m-a-year contract with Adidas sees them come out on top in a deal that lasts until 2025.

2. Barcelona

Barca's £100m-a-year deal with Nike runs until 2028. With one, Lionel Messi, in their ranks they have every right to command a big fee.

3. Manchester United

The Red Devils' £75million-a-year deal with Adidas has them as the Premier League’s highest earner. Their contract runs until 2025.

4. Manchester City

The Premier League champions earn £65million-a-year, in a deal with Puma that lasts until 2029. City are streets ahead of United in the league but sit behind them here.

5. Chelsea

The Blues' £60million-a-year contract sees them joint fifth in the list. The Londoners will be donning the swoosh logo until at least 2032.

6. Arsenal

The Gunners also pocket the same amount but with rivals Adidas and have a deal in place until 2024.

8. Liverpool

The current £45million-a-year contract with New Balance has them eighth but a new deal will have them climbing the ladder soon.

9. Bayern Munich

The Bundesliga champions pocket £42.5million in their deal with Adidas. The giants of German football have an agreement in place until 2030.

10. Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs' £30m-deal with Nike rounds off the list. The North Londoners have a contract until 2033 and are the sixth English team in the top ten.
