10 Best NBA 2K25 Cards, Ranked

Finding the right cards to fill your MyTEAM in NBA 2K25 can mean the difference between a successful online session and a night of frustration and losses. With so many seasons of cards dropping with so many collections in each, it can be overwhelming to find the cards that are best positioned to help you not just win, but dominate.

While any card that’s pushing perfection on its overall rating is a recipe for trouble for your opponents, these ten cards have been selected as ones that stand out from that highly impressive field.

Invincible Kevin Durant (Season 6)

Kevin Durant is an all-time player and one of the few men who can make a legitimate claim to being the first to pass LeBron James and take his crown as the best player in the NBA, so it’s no surprise he has one of the most sought-after cards in the game.

What makes Durant so special as a 2K option is that he is not only wildly talented, but also possesses incredible physical attributes, as well. This means when you get into the elite territory where all the contenders are pushing 99s across the board, a 6’10” option at small forward or shooting guard who can score from anywhere is a problem.

G.O.A.T. Nikola Jokic (Season 8)

When choosing which functionally-perfect player cards to pick from, what you’re looking for is something to make them stand out and offer something beyond elite attributes. A cheeky bit of positioning on the Nikola Jokic G.O.A.T. card turns this Jokic version into one of the most unstoppable players you could ask for: a 6’11” point guard with a 7’3” wingspan.

While you can still slot this Jokic into your center spot should you have a bigger hole there, the benefit of choosing this version of the big Serbian is the ability to get a physically unstoppable, technically flawless big fella on point where your opponent will struggle for any kind of meaningful solution.

Invincible Michael Jordan (Season 8)

For a long time, Michael Jordan was the prodigal son of basketball gaming, opting out of inclusion in many games across many gaming generations, but his appearances in 2K25 make up for lost time. While there’s no such thing as a bad Jordan card, the Invincible option allows you to feel like you’re truly in control of a unique talent.

Just one Intangibles point shy of all-99’s and with no badge below Hall of Fame level, Invincible Jordan is a suitably dominant player in every phase of the game. Befitting of his real-world self, Invincible MJ is an absolute bucket who will punish any space he’s given and blow by tight defense en route to posterizing whatever poor big goes up for the stop.

Invincible Kevin McHale (Season 7)

A Boston sports legend, Kevin McHale was a key cog for one of the Celtics’ comically large number of golden eras in the 80s. While his elite card is capable of getting the job done on the offensive side of the game, especially in and around the basket where he is an absolute terror for inside defenders, it’s in denying the opposition where this McHale card shines.

In an online game where you may be facing opponents with their own battery of elite 99+ cards at their disposal, someone who can counter their offensive star power is a must. McHale is imposing around the hoop, denying shots, shutting down the post, and beating opponents to the rebounds after you force a miss.

G.O.A.T. Julius Erving (Season 8)

The G.O.A.T. line has obvious appeal for any player blessed with a max rating, max badges option, but once again, this one comes down to what it can do for you and where on the court it can do it. With Dr. J. plugged into one of your guard spots, you get a 6’7” point guard who can do it all for you.

His tendencies make him a slashing point guard, as he is nearly maxed out on all layup and dunking options, always ready to cut to the hoop and finish hard or catch the defense off guard with a Euro step around the defense or a floater over the towering arms trying to stop him.

All-Star Festival 2025 Vince Carter (Season 4)

Vince Carter, in his prime, was one of the most electric players to have ever set foot on the court, and a dunk contest All-Timer who can lay claim to hitting several of the event’s most beloved dunks. Vince Carter, past his prime, was a man whose career started last millennium and didn’t wrap up until 2020.

His 100-rated All-Star Festival 2025 version is a guaranteed bucket at either small forward or shooting guard. His mid- and long-range game is fully maxed out, but more importantly, his trademark rim attacks. With Hall of Fame-level badges in every driving and finishing trait, Carter can blow past his man while getting the better of any help foolish enough to put itself in his path.

G.O.A.T. LeBron James (Season 8)

Still one of just two men even in the conversation for G.O.A.T. (to the chagrin of Kobe fans everywhere) and one who has fully claimed the title as his own in the eyes of many basketball fans, the G.O.A.T. version of LeBron becomes an easy selection for the top options available in NBA 2K25.

Like many of the players on this list, this version of LeBron has all 40 badges. Not like every player on the list, every single one of them is Legendary level. Whatever you need this LeBron to do, he has the attributes to do it, and the badges to do it with style and in a way your opponent simply can not find enough answers for the sheer number of questions he can pose.

NBA Draft #1 Picks Victor Wembanyama (Season 7)

The best player in the NBA in waiting since before he even made it into the league, Victor Wembanyama has gotten off to a start full of mind-boggling plays by the lanky big man, albeit not yet with the corresponding success for his franchise. Spurs fans may be looking ahead to next year with eager eyes, but fans who have gotten their hands on this Wemby card have no need to wait.

While his badge results may not be spectacular on the scale of other cards in this elite list, with “just” 8 gold badges and 31 Hall of Fame badges, what makes Wemby such a sight on the court also makes him a handful even for other elite cards. Standing 7’4” tall with a 7’8” wingspan, plus the ability to play at Power Forward should you have another terrifying big to pair him with, Wemby is a brick wall around the rim that opposing offenses will struggle to get over or around.

G.O.A.T. Shaquille O’Neal (Season 8)

There is probably no card on this list that makes you wonder “what if these attributes were real” more than G.O.A.T. Shaq. While every G.O.A.T. edition is dominant, and real-world Shaq was quite the unstoppable force himself, a Shaq with 99 Free Throw shooting means the death of the Hack-a-Shaq and a new era of big man dominance.

In the virtual world, the 7’1” tall, 325 lbs. Shaq is an absolute unit, and even highly rated defenders can struggle to deal with him in and around the rim, to say nothing of a Shaq that can threaten from the outside.

G.O.A.T. Yao Ming (Season 7)

Any player with an imposing physical stature and the talent to have been on the receiving end of some of the highest-end card options is going to be a capital-P Problem for the other team, so with a player like Yao Ming, it’s mostly just picking which card to use as his best. While he has several contenders that any team would be happy to have, the G.O.A.T. editions get another nod here.

At 7’6” with a 7’9” wingspan, Yao can hassle opposing shooters while also having the size he needs to get shots over opponents. While some big men with his length are slighter in build, the 310 lbs. Chinese star can play bully ball as well, and when equipped with the maxed-out badges of G.O.A.T. status, he’s an absolute force on both ends.

While these are our favorite options for making your MyTeam roster elite, they are far from the only outstanding players you could plug into your lineup. Do you have a favorite player on your squad who didn’t make the list?
