Finding a decent motorway service station isn’t always easy.
Grotty toilets, greasy food and overpriced petrol often springs to mind.
But a pit stop doesn’t always need to be the pits.
Some motorway service stations actually offer pretty decent respite. But it’s working out which ones they are.
Luckily for people coming in and out of Bristol, there’s one service station on the M4 that is among the top 10 in the UK.

Leigh Delamare ranked number 10 on the list with a score of 86.9.
The services has eight food outlets, wifi, car charging points, showers and a hotel, according to the research by car hire company Northgate Vehicle Hire.
Meanwhile, Cobham’s services on junction 9 and 10 of the M25 came top of the list with a score of 97.2.
It has the most food outlets including KFC, McDonald's and Nando’s, and a whopping 4,620 parking spaces.
However, parking at Cobham isn't cheap if you're planning to stay more than two hours.
It costs £30 if you park longer than 120 minutes, compared to Leigh Delamare where you pay £15 for the equivalent parking stay.
A spokesperson for Northgate Vehicle Hire said: “Extra’s Cobham services on the M25 are the clear winner on our list, and if you’re travelling in this part of the country, you might well need the rest.
“The M25 is considered to be the UK's least favourite motorway, largely because of excessive congestion.”

Another motorway with decent services, according to the research, is the M6.
Junction 3’s Corley services is right in the middle of the country and was fifth on the list with a rating of 88.53.
The average rank of all service stations was 78.10, but Welcome Break service stations came out best with an average rank of 82.35 across all of its sites.
