10 Aintree Grand National outfits that stood out from the crowd

Aintree has been blessed with glorious weather for the biggest day in the racing calendar.

Thousands of people have stepped through the Grand National gates to soak up the atmosphere and have a flutter on the horses.

And as temperatures soared, racegoers pulled out all the stops, displaying their glamorous attire.

Whilst many women chose a floral gown, others wanted to make a statement with a power suit.

Many accessorised with beautiful hats and fascinators to finish off their ensembles.

Men also broke tradition, ditching the Peaky Blinders theme and opting for checkered three-piece suits.

And of course some punters had fun with the day and came wearing the most outlandish costumes.

Our reporters were out on the course spotting the outfits that best stood out from the crowd at Aintree today.

Helen chose to add a touch of tradition to her Aintree outfit of the day.

Her headpiece featured multiple colours including orange, green and black.

However, it was the white and pheasant feathers that stole the show and added to the elegance of her curly-blow.
