NEW DELHI: Security forces on Thursday killed a terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district during a brief exchange of fire. He has been identified as Javed Ah Wani of Kulgam district.
The Kashmir Zone police said that terrorists fired on ADP of Army and police in Cherdari, Baramulla.
Wani was identified as a hybrid type terrorist by IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar. The IGP also said that Wani had assisted terrorist Gulzar, in killing 2 labourers from Bihar in Wanpoh. He was now on a mission to target a shopkeeper, according to Kumar.
One pistol, a loaded magazine and a Pakistan grenade have been recovered from his possession, said the police.
Notably, Gulzar, the terrorist involved in the killing of labourers from Bihar had been killed on October 20.
