1 stat shows exactly why the Broncos are 0-3

When you’re a team with Von Miller, one of the premiere pass-rushers in all of the NFL with 98 sacks to his name, and with Bradley Chubb (12 sacks last season) and a great secondary, you expect one thing out of the Denver Broncos: Sacks and takeaways.

Guess what the Broncos have exactly zero of this season as they’ve started out 0-3 with head coach Vic Fangio — known for being a defensive guru with stops in San Francisco and Chicago — at the helm? Sacks and takeaways.

It’s bizarre and bad. And it’s actually historical: Not since 2007 has there been an NFL with goose eggs in the sacks column, and Denver is just the eighth team post-merger. And for both categories? They’re the only team in 50 years to do it:
