A 50-year-old driver was seriously injured in a rollover crash Wednesday in Portage Park on the Northwest Side.

He was pulling out of a gas station in the 3600 block of North Laramie Avenue, at Addison Street, when he crashed into a southbound car, Chicago police said.

The impact caused the man’s van to flip over, police said.

He was taken in serious condition to Lutheran General Hospital, a Chicago fire official said. Police later said he was in good condition.

The man was issued two citations for failing to stop when emerging from a building and driving an uninsured vehicle, police said.

The 66-year-old driver of the southbound car refused medical attention, police said.
