Man shot on Kennedy Expressway near Harlem Avenue

A 27-year-old man was hurt in a shooting late Thursday on the Kennedy Expressway on the Northwest Side.

The shooting happened about 11:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 90 near Sayre Avenue, a few blocks east of the Harlem Avenue exit, according to Illinois State Police.

The man was taken to a hospital with an injury that was not life-threatening, state police said.

Lanes were closed until about 2 a.m. for an investigation.
