At least one person was shot by someone who unleashed a hail of bullets outside Sound Bar early Friday in River North.
Shortly after midnight, paramedics responded to a person with a gunshot wound on the corner of Franklin and Ontario, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The person was brought to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, the fire department said.
About 10 shell casings were scattered near the intersection, which is located in one of the city’s heavily trafficked entertainment districts.
Early Friday morning, dozens of young adults were seen filing out of the club as it appeared to be shutting down early.
Chicago police didn’t immediately release details on the circumstances of the shooting.
