
A male was killed in a vehicle crash early Saturday in Ukrainian Village on the North Side, police said.
About 3:30 a.m. a 23-year-old man driving a Mazda sedan northbound on Damen Avenue struck a Toyota sedan traveling eastbound in the 2000 block of West Augusta Boulevard, Chicago police said.
The male driver of the Toyota was transported to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet released information on the fatality.
The 23-year-old driver of the Mazda sedan suffered a dislocated hip and was also transported to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in fair condition, police said.
The driver of the Mazda may have gone through a red light, according to preliminary information from police.
Charges and citations may be pending, police said.
Area Three detectives and the CPD Major Accidents Unit are investigating.
