A person was killed in a shooting Sunday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.
A male, whose age was unknown, was shot in the head about 4:40 p.m. in the 6700 block of South Merrill Avenue, Chicago police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
There was no one in custody.
