A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in northwest suburban Rosemont.
The accident occurred just after 4 p.m. on Higgins Road west of Patton Drive, Rosemont police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
A man driving one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Autopsy results released Thursday confirmed he died of injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Traffic on Higgins Road between Patton Drive and the I-90 ramp was shut down for three hours while authorities investigated, police said.
