1 killed as bus overturns in Jaisalmer

JAISALMER: One person died and four others sustained injuries after a bus carrying around 45 people overturned near Satto village in Jaisalmer on Friday.

Police reached the spot and rescued a passenger who was trapped in the bus with the help of a crane.

Jhinjhinyali SHO Hadwant Singh said the bus from Jaisalmer to Jaisindhar in Barmer overturned near Satto village around 5pm.

The deceased was identified as Nimbaram Bheel.

Police said one of the injured was brought to Jhinjhinyali hospital while others were sent to Jaisalmer and Barmer.

The driver said the steering failed due to which it lost control and overturned.
