1 killed, 4 wounded in cruise ship lifeboat plunge

MIAMI _ A lifeboat falling from the world's largest ship, Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas, killed one crew member and injured four others on Tuesday.

A statement from Royal Caribbean emailed to the Miami Herald Tuesday morning stated, "We are sorry to share the sad news that a crew member aboard Harmony of the Seas has died of injuries suffered during a lifeboat drill conducted while docked at the port of Marseille, France. Four other crew members received medical treatment in the same incident. We are keeping our colleagues and their families in our thoughts and prayers."

According to The Telegraph's report, Marseille Marine Services Julien Raas said the boat fell about 32 feet with the five people inside. A 42-year-old Philippines native died and two of the four others were critically injured.
