A woman was killed and two others critically injured after their car crashed into a light pole late Thursday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

Aaliyah Lambert, 23, was a passenger in a Hyundai Elantra that was speeding in the 4500 block of West Division Street, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

The driver, a 21-year-old driver, veered right near Kolmar at 11:50 p.m. and struck a light post, police said.

Lambert, a resident of Lawndale, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, authorities said. Autopsy results released Friday confirmed she died from injuries related to the crash.

The driver suffered a broken hip and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said. A third woman, 18, suffered facial injuries and was taken to the same hospital also in critical condition.

No citations were issued as of Friday afternoon.
