
A man was killed and another wounded in a shooting Thursday in West Garfield Park, police said.
They were on the sidewalk about 4:30 p.m. in the 300 block of South Kildare Avenue when they heard shots and felt pain, Chicago police said.
A 44-year-old man was struck in the shoulder, leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The other man, 21, was shot in the hand and taken to the same hospital in fair condition, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on the fatality.
No arrests have been reported. Area Four detectives are investigating.
