A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting Thursday in West Garfield Park.

They were on the sidewalk about 5:21 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Jackson Boulevard when someone fired shots from a vehicle, Chicago police said.

A 28-year-old man was struck in the arm, back and leg, police said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Autopsy results released Friday ruled his death a homicide, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. His identity has not been released.

A 23-year-old woman who was shot in the arm took herself to Stroger Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, police said.

No arrests have been reported. Area Four detectives are investigating.
