A shooting in Roseland wounded two people — one fatally — Tuesday on the Far South Side, police said.

About 2:16 p.m. a 15-year-old boy and 23-year-old woman were standing in the 200 block of West 113th Street when someone fired shots from a vehicle, Chicago police said.

The boy was hit in the head, abdomen and lower body, and the woman was struck in the chest, police said. They were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where the boy was pronounced dead. The woman was in serious condition.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the fatality.

No one is in custody, and Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
