A man was killed and a woman was wounded in shooting Sunday in Lawndale on the West Side.
The pair was outside about 3:35 a.m. in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue when a male on foot opened fire, Chicago police said.
The man, 34, was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about his death.
The 29-year-old woman was struck in the arm, and she was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
