One person was killed and another seriously wounded in a shooting Friday morning in Belmont Cragin on the Northwest Side.

Officers found a man, 39, and a woman, 41, lying on a porch in the 4900 block of West Wrightwood Avenue about 1:25 a.m., Chicago police said.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and ankle and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified him.

The woman suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and arms and was taken to the same hospital in serious condition, police said.

Officers found a relative of the man and woman walking two blocks from the scene, police said. The relative was brought in for questioning, police said.
